Why are we still so under rated?

I was watching the “Today Show” and they had a panel discussion involving women in the work place, still having issues with “worth”.
With all the evolution of technology, science, and life in general. We are still battling the fight of equality in the Work Place?

Not only in the work place, we still get NO Respect.

Have you ever noticed when you are in a group situation, men and women, and during a conversation, if a Woman joins in, most men in the setting, will roll their eyes or find ways to cut her off.

Not all the time, but I have seen and been a witness to this many times through out my life.

When it comes to pay checks, a lot of businesses, and employers still discount female positions.

Or how about Reverse discrimination?

I had it happen to me…several years ago, I was working as a Free Lance Researcher for an environmental company, and after writing a 380 page book, regarding the air, soil, and water conditions of several large cities taking 18 months to write, received tons of accreditation’s and kudo’s for a fantastic job, well done..I was let go. After spending hours at the State Capitol working on procurement agreements, I was let go….Why?
Here is why…and stupid me, had it in writing, but did nothing about it, just put my happy face on, and moved on…
Even their Top Financial investment Partner pulled out after this mishap…
I was told, “In order for us to get government contracts, we have to add two African Americans to our Board, which means we can not afford to keep you, so we have to let you go.” So, they hired one Retired Professional Football player they knew, and a Retired Pro-Basketball player they knew.
See, women still get treated very unfairly, and people want to talk about discrimination? I won’t even go there.

Point* I am smart, I am educated, and I am a Woman.
Accept that, pay me for what I do, not for what I am.
When I speak, treat me like I matter, and respect what I have to say. You do not have to like me, but you do need to respect me as a human being. I treat all people as people, and expect all people to respect all human life.

To answer your question, yes I did develop it myself, and continue to learn to improve, I have a IT person who is going to help me with the layout, I am not satisfied with how it does the continual scroll.
